Leak-Free Dry Break Technology
The EVIL ENERGY dry break quick-release adapter features a precision-engineered valve mechanism that automatically seals both the male and female sides upon disconnection. This prevents fluid spillage, air intrusion, and contamination — critical for fuel and oil systems where even a single drop can mean the difference between a clean pit stop and a dangerous situation.
6061-T6 Aluminum — Lightweight Yet Tough
Machined from solid 6061-T6 aluminum billet and finished with a durable black anodized coating, this AN adapter delivers the strength-to-weight ratio demanded by serious builders. The 37-degree AN flare seat ensures a positive, vibration-resistant seal at pressures far exceeding typical fuel system requirements. No plating to flake, no rust to worry about.

When to Choose a Dry Break Over a Standard AN Fitting
- Motorsport refueling: pit stops on endurance and circle-track cars
- Fuel cell / surge tank service: clean disconnect without draining the cell
- Trailered race cars: separate fuel and oil lines for transport without spillage
- Dry-sump and oil cooler service: quick removal for engine swaps or seasonal maintenance
- Transmission cooler disconnects: swap coolers or radiators without losing fluid
For applications that don't require frequent disconnection, standard AN Hose End Fittings or AN Adapter Fittings are a more cost-effective choice.

Pair With a Complete AN Plumbing System
Connect this dry break coupler to your existing plumbing with matching-size AN Braided Hose and AN Adapter Fittings. All EVIL ENERGY AN components use the industry-standard 37° JIC flare (SAE AS4395), so they cross-reference directly with Fragola, Earl's, Russell, and XRP hardware.
EVIL ENERGY Dry Break Quick-Release Adapter Operation Guide
How to Connect
- Align: Start with the male and female adapters separated. Acknowledge the internal push-to-connect mechanism.
- Push to Seat: Position the two halves in line with each other. Push the female side onto the male adapter with a straight, firm motion. An internal click indicates that the locking pin is beginning to engage with the curved track.
- Lock in Place: Continue pushing firmly. The connector will naturally twist as the pin is guided up the 'F'-track. Once fully seated, the coupling will rotate home, locking the joint with a positive, secure action. Confirm that the junction is secure before pressurized fluid is applied.

How to Release
- Press and Hold Locking Sleeve: To begin the disconnection process, use your thumb and forefinger to apply firm pressure to the textured knurling on the locking sleeve. This disengages the primary locking detents.
- Turn and Separate: While holding the sleeve in the pressed position, apply a twisting motion in the 'F'-direction. The internal pin will be guided down the track, causing the coupling to rotate as it moves apart.
-
Automatic Sealing: As the two halves separate, the dry break technology simultaneously seals both ends of the adapter, preventing fluid loss, air inclusion, and contamination. Store both pieces cleanly to prevent debris from entering the open ports.
