Why Choose the EVIL ENERGY ORB-to-SAE Quick-Disconnect Adapter?
Swapping to an aftermarket EFI fuel rail, high-flow pump, or aluminum fuel filter usually means you're stuck between AN-thread aftermarket parts and OEM push-on fuel lines. This adapter bridges both worlds in one fitting — screw the ORB male end into any AN-ported fuel rail, filter, or regulator, then click your factory 5/16", 3/8", or 1/2" quick-connect line straight onto the SAE nipple. No barbs, no hose clamps, no leaks.

Straight vs. 90 Degree: which to pick?
Choose the Straight ORB-to-SAE Quick-Disconnect Adapter when your fuel line runs parallel to the rail or filter port.

Choose the 90° ORB-to-SAE Quick-Disconnect Adapter when clearance is tight, such as on LS swap engine bays, turbo return routing, or when connecting to a fuel pressure regulator mounted against a firewall.

Where it fits in your build
Pair this adapter with our 6AN PTFE fuel line kit, inline EFI fuel filter, or 58 PSI fuel pressure regulator to complete a leak-free EFI plumbing loop from tank to rail.

Popular Platforms This Adapter Works With
Because the SAE quick-connect side conforms to the SAE J2044 industry standard, this fitting is compatible with the vast majority of North American EFI vehicles built since the mid-1990s. Commonly used on:
- GM LS/LT swaps: Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Camaro, Corvette, Trailblazer SS (3/8" feed most common)
- Ford Modular & Coyote: Mustang GT, F-150 5.0, Crown Victoria, Explorer (3/8" feed / 5/16" return)
- Mopar Hemi: Ram 1500/2500, Charger, Challenger, 300C (3/8" feed)
- Import EFI conversions: 2JZ, RB, K-series swaps into older chassis where OEM push-on lines meet an aftermarket rail
- Marine & industrial EFI: inboard V8 conversions, generator sets, and stand-alone ECU builds

Installation Steps & Torque Specifications
The ORB-to-SAE Quick-Disconnect adapter installs in under two minutes with no specialty tools. Follow the sequence below for a clean, leak-free seal on both the aftermarket ORB port and the OEM push-on line.
- Depressurize the fuel system. Pull the fuel-pump fuse and crank the engine until it stalls.
- Inspect the O-ring. The fluorocarbon O-ring is pre-installed on the ORB threads — verify it is seated in the groove and lightly coat it with clean motor oil or assembly lube (never silicone grease on fuel-wetted surfaces).
- Hand-thread the ORB end into the fuel rail, regulator, or filter port until snug.
-
Torque to spec using an AN-flare wrench:
- 6AN ORB → 12–15 ft-lb
- 8AN ORB → 15–18 ft-lb
- 10AN ORB → 18–22 ft-lb
- Push the OEM quick-connect coupler straight onto the SAE nipple until you hear an audible click and the retention ring locks. Tug-test to confirm engagement.
- Pressurize and leak-check. Cycle the pump 3–5 times without cranking and visually inspect both ends for weep.
